Located
on the border of quiet Bramcote Village and Wollaton the course is set
in a parkland environment, with incredible views across Nottingham and
Wollaton Hall. The course is long established with incredible scenery
and has a tranquil, peaceful atmosphere with a countryside feel,
although still only 15 minutes drive from the centre of Nottingham.
Bramcote Hills Golf Course is a world away from typical urban golf
courses which are surrounded by the traffic and noise which accompany
our daily lives.
Designed around the hills that
give us our name, the course topography creates a unique challenge and
offers a level of difficulty unmatched in other local courses.
At Bramcote Hills Golf Course we promote a new, modern version of golf
that allows players to enjoy the challenge and quality of a full sized,
longer course but in 2 hours rather than the traditional 4 or 5 hours
many rounds can take and in a friendly and relaxed environment.
We have worked extensively to provide a 9 hole golf course which has
been professionally redesigned and remodelled. Although the essence of
the old course is still there we now have a good mixture of challenging
short holes and difficult longer holes which offer a more complete test
of your golfing abilities.

Many
hours have been spent by our professional green keeping staff working
on our greens, fairways, tees and rough areas, and we now have
fantastic quality greens that many of our players have described as
remarkable and unrivalled in the whole of Nottinghamshire!

The
course is ideal for players who wish to test and improve their golf and
experience a truly challenging medium distance golf course. With
characteristic small greens and narrow fairways, accuracy is essential.
With some inspiration for our layout coming from famous links courses,
players will need to use their 'course management skills' to
successfully negotiate the risks and rewards of each hole.
From your first round players will find that the course 'plays' much
longer than the yardages suggest, because each hole has been designed
to take advantage of uphill and downhill slopes, testing players’
judgement and skill and offering a different challenge every time a
hole is played. Indeed, even low handicappers frequently misjudge their
shots and land far short of the greens.
